The Thrillist

“Union Park has shuttered its West 6th watering hole and moved into a massive, still-sporting Aloft space outfitted with two patios, tasteful Longhorn memorabilia, and a gloriously gratuitous flatscreen armada (35+) including a custom 360-degree projection ring-screen to, you know, rule them all.”

Culturemap Austin – 77 Degrees & The Rose Room

“If you want to party, this is the place to be. 77 degrees is a three-story bar with a rooftop patio located above St. Genevieve on Rock Rose in the Domain Northside development. The drinks are tropical in nature, featuring rum and fruity flavors like the Key Lime Colada (Bacardi, coconut, lemon, served in a frozen pineapple). You can also enjoy tapas such as ceviche, fish tacos, and skewers. The Rose Room is a weekend-only nightclub next door with three bars, a private VIP room, and a house DJ.”

Austin Way – 77 Degrees

“Aptly named for the most idyllic cocktailing temperature, this three-story rooftop bar with exotic rum drinks and shareable bites is the perfect spot to start your night. Enjoy the sunset while sipping on the Cayman Account, a rum-based tiki cocktail with fresh-squeezed pineapple and orange juices, refreshing ginger beer, and hand-carved pineapple parrot garnish. It’s potent enough to mentally transport you to the Caribbean.”

ACVB – 77 Degrees

ACVB – St. Genevieve

“Fully embracing its namesake, Saint Genevieve, the Patron Saint of Good Times, Rock Rose’s new upscale lounge is a space made for gathering around good food and libations. The space is clean welcoming to all who enter. Stop by for brunch or a happy hour drink, share a few of the delicious plates and let St. Genevieve become your new go-to hangout spot.”

Austin Way – St. Genevieve

“End your night at St. Genevieve, an upscale lounge featuring a house DJ, inventive shared plate, and original cocktails. Watch the late-night crowd come alive in this blue-tinged space with Mediterranean-style ceilings and a circular bar. While you’re at it, indulge in a sweet-and-sultry take on a classic nightcap, the Cobbler Old-Fashioned, with bourbon and peach bitters, cinnamon, brown sugar syrup, and muddled peaches.”

Zagat – The Local Post Pub voted one of the hottest bars in Austin

“Be sure to arrive hungry – and with friends – so you have an excuse to order the 10-pound can of nachos, topped with pulled pork, chili or beans. Choose one of the many local craft beers on tap or a strong, cold margarita.”

Community Impact – Union Venture Group

“Brothers Jeff and Darren Van Delden and their cousin Adam Karam are no strangers to the Austin bar scene. Together they have opened 36 + venues in Austin and Houston since 1999 and have been working together since. The trio now own hospitality business Union Venture Group, which has launched other Austin concepts, such as The Park on South Lamar, Somersault Innovative Cocktails, fast-casual restaurant Greengos and Maverick’s country bar in Pflugerville. UVG’s latest four venues are all located in the Rock Rose district of Domain Northside.”

Austin 360 – The Rose Room

“The Rose Room [gives] North Austin something that part of town has never had before – a two-story nightclub with bottle service and table reservations. The swanky dance club joins the Union Venture Group’s three other bars along Rock Rose Avenue: Saint Genevieve, a regal wine lounge; Jack and Ginger’s Irish Pub, a casual hangout with more than 80 beers on tap; and 77 Degrees, a rooftop rum bar. The nightclub aims to dazzle from the moment you walk inside thanks to an escalator with flashing lights that will lead you into a red-hued entrance hall. From there, you can dance your way into the sprawling main space: an open two-story room with a dance floor in the center, three bars serving up drinks and stadium seating throughout, as well as balconies that overlook the Rock Rose district. A house DJ provides the music each night. And when you’re leaving the Rose Rome via staircase, you’ll pass 77 Degrees on the way – a tempting nightcap.

Austin Woman – St. Genevieve

“Take a quick peek into The Domain’s newest hot spot and it’s apparent where your focal point should be: the dimly lit yet glowing granite-rimmed bar. St. Genevieve is an upscale Mediterranean-style lounge pairing an extensive wine list with a curated selection of creative cocktails and savory, tapas-style cuisine. Elevated dining and imbibing locale, whose tagline is “Divine dishes for the devout drinker.”

Tribeza – 77 Degrees

“You can’t miss the high-altitude heels at 77 Degrees, which only soar higher as the night deepens. The crowd, around 10 p.m. had a ‘one-more-hour-of-babysitting-let’s-make-this-worth-it-vibe,’ which eventually gave way to a younger, taller, tanner contingent. We sampled a Violet Sky, a gin-watermelon-thyme drink, and leaned back into our Miami-lounge-looking sofa. The impeccable craft cocktail; the well-dressed, work-hard-play-hard revelers; and their varied accents, felt like what you might find in any thriving city.”

Dani Austin – 77 Degrees

“If I told you there was a place in Austin where you could sit in a hammock, with a mojito in hand, swing back and forth on a rooftop bar overlooking the city, warming your toes by a nearby fire pit, enjoying the fresh breeze… I bet you wouldn’t believe me! 77 Degrees at Rock Rose is nothing I have experienced in Austin. What a perfect way to unwind after a long day studying or at work.”

Austin Tidbits – 77 Degrees

“One of the newer additions to the buzzy Rock Rose district at The Domain, the 3-story rooftop patio bar boasts potent and picturesque rum drinks served at a perfect 77°, aka the optimal cocktailing temperature. Some of the vacation-inspired sips are even served in a frozen pineapple or garnished with a pineapple parrot. The sleek white surroundings and hanging nest chairs encourage you to make it an extra long happy hour while you share tapas like fresh ceviche and chickpea lettuce wraps and take pulls from the fun flavored hookahs.”

Austin Food Magazine – 77 Degrees

“The cocktail menu highlights several tasty concoctions from mixologist Ryan Baird. The cocktails are exotic and refreshing, but 77 Degrees offers several tasty small and shareable plates perfect for the Summer season. The impressive, multilevel space was designed by Jeff Frolicki along with branding work by Titled Chair Creative. It features an elevated, stylish design with crafted tile and wood flooring throughout the entire layout. The main bar sprawls 20-feet with stool seating at the front of the house, along with white cushioned outdoor seating highlighted by two extra large cabanas that can be reserved for private parties. The bar is the third out of four concepts launched on Rock Rose Ave. by Union Venture Group’s Jeff and Darren Van Delden.”

Austin American-Statesman – Union Venture Group

“In addition to the Rock Rose bars and the soon-to-open Burnet Road concept, Union Venture Group operates Maverick’s in the Pflugerville area, Somersault at The Domain and both locations of The Park – one in South Austin and one at The Domain. While the company initially focused on downtown Austin, the partners say they’ve shifted their attention to North Austin in recent years – an area where they see unmet demand. Business at Rock Rose has been strong from the start, the partners say, and data from the state comptroller’s office bears that out. In May, the most recent month for which data was available, bars in Rock Rose sold a combined $1.5 million worth of beer, wine, and mixed drinks.”

Culturemap Austin – St. Genevieve

“Introducing St. Genevieve, an upscale lounge serving delicious handcrafted drinks and gourmet bites. With its signature blue infused throughout and Mediterranean-style ceilings, a large circular bar centers the lounge where guests gather for lively conversation. Opt for the refreshing Namaste made with Grey Goose Le Citron vodka, St. Germain, lime juice, green tea syrup, mint leaves, and prosecco’ the I Dream of Genevieve with Bombay Sapphire gin, rose water, and St. Germain topped with rose petals’ or the Cobbler Old Fashioned, which is like dessert in a glass.”
